Awards and customer messages

Good Guy Award uses the information you submit to create and deliver your award, process your order, and respond to customer messages. This can include names, email addresses, nomination text, optional photos, and payment confirmation. Public tributes display the information you choose to publish; private awards are not published. Our hosting and payment providers process information needed to provide these services. Payments are handled by Stripe; we do not receive your full card number.

Facebook and Instagram advertising

When permitted by your region and choices, the Meta Pixel measures verified live purchases and helps optimize our Facebook and Instagram advertising. Meta may receive browser and device information, IP address, advertising cookie identifiers, the purchase event, purchase value and currency, and a pseudonymous event identifier used to prevent duplicates. We do not deliberately send honoree names, personal messages, contact-form content, or email addresses to Meta. Advertising tracking is limited to generic commercial pages, not honoree profiles or contact forms.

Where consent is required, advertising tracking stays blocked until you accept. If your region cannot be determined, we also ask first. Elsewhere advertising tracking may be enabled by default, subject to your refusal and applicable browser opt-outs, including Global Privacy Control. No advertising event blocked when it occurred is replayed after acceptance.

Your choices

Accepting or rejecting advertising does not affect buying or downloading your award. Cookie settings lets you change your choice at any time, including withdrawing consent. Choices take effect immediately and are saved on this browser, along with the time, region, a random browser identifier and notice version; earlier choices are retained to record acceptance and withdrawal. Purchase reporting keeps a local event record to prevent repeats. Clearing browser storage removes these local records. Essential order access information is stored separately to let you securely resume your purchase.
